What Sense-Tex does technically
Smart cell-Zinc fiber conductor, that is used in Sense-Tex provides unique multifunctional properties, including self-cleaning, antimicrobial activity, UV protection, flame retardancy, thermal insulation, moisture management, hydrophobicity, and electrical conductivity. The Silver (Ag) coated fibers offer antibacterial, fungicidal, odor-inhibiting, skin-friendly, temperature-regulating, conductive, antistatic, and shielding effects.

Sense-Tex also includes a silver-coated fiber, offering antiseptic and antibacterial properties. This fiber can also facilitate the transfer of electronic signals and connect sensors and other electronic components. The silver coating adds versatility to the composite yarn, making it suitable for various applications beyond traditional textiles.

SmartCell technical facts
The ZnO (Zinc oxide) coated fibres provides unique multifunctional properties, such as:
• Photocatalytic self-cleaning.
• Antimicrobial activity.
• UV protection.
• Flame retardancy.
• Thermal insulation.
• Moisture management.
• Hydrophobicity, and electrical conductivity.

The Silver (Ag) coated fibres
Silver substances are hydrophilic. A hydrophile is a molecule or other molecular entity that is attracted to water molecules and tends to be dissolved by water.  Hence silver’s antimicrobial effect gets even stronger when it comes into contact with moisture such as sweat and bodily fluids. That’s why fabrics treated with antimicrobial silver continue to perform well even after multiple washes.

Silver also provides unique multifunctional properties, such as
• Antibacterial
• Fungicidal
• Odour-inhibiting
• Skin-friendly
• Temperature-regulating
• Conductive
• Antistatic and shielding effect

The Soybean Fibre
On the electromagnetic spectrum (EMR) Soybean fibre serves as a shield in Sense-Tex towards:
• Far Infrared waves
• Radio waves
• Microwaves
• UV rays
• X-rays
• Gamma rays

The Negative Oxyanion found in Soybean fibre
The species or molecules having the overall negative charge are called anionic species or polyatomic anions. If an oxygen atom is present in the molecule with a negative charge, it is known as oxyanion. This is found in the Soybean fibre.

The Negative Oxyanion in Sense-Tex
• Carries a net of negative electrical charges and contains oxygen.
• Oxides of non-metals that are molecule ions.

Function: Stabilizes negative charge/neutralizer. Due to their unique chemical structures oxyanions can easily transform into other chemical species in a process called Transformation.
